Peter Swann – Artist Statement 

Fascinated with the past and coming from a generation of Fixers I am so aware at the speed the past vanishes. I have watched Wisbech & The Fens change and tried to capture fragments of it by editing and individualising each item as I see it or want it to be. I have preserved that which could be deemed as rubbish and displayed it in a nostalgic and stimulating way reincarnating those old items which are meaningless to many, to begin a new journey again in another form.

Paul Ebbens – Artist Statement 

Mixing my own clay with inclusions of differing grades of ceramic grog and recycled paper pulp. I hope to create a Fenland mood, including expansive landscapes with a patchwork of fields, rivers and sky. Pooled glazes with expressive gestural application over heavily textured clay using a muted, rural coloured palette. Unique in its presentation and utilising the modern narrative from local produce to the national grid (pylons).
