Wisbech Gallery | Contemporary Art in the Heart of the Fens

Wisbech Gallery is a contemporary art space located on South Brink in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, offering a rich programme of exhibitions, artist talks and creative events. Established in 2023, the Gallery has quickly become a vibrant cultural destination in Fenland, showcasing high-quality artwork and supporting both emerging and established artists.

Based within Octavia View, a beautiful Grade II* listed building, Wisbech Gallery provides a distinctive setting where heritage and contemporary creativity come together. Our programme includes a dynamic schedule of rotating exhibitions, monthly Conversation with the Artist events, and accessible workshops designed to inspire creativity at every level. The building has step-free access available and there is no entry fee to view our exhibitions.

Since opening, we have developed an ambitious and varied exhibition programme, welcoming solo artists, duos and group shows that celebrate a wide range of mediums, styles and themes. Alongside this, we are proud to host our Annual Open Exhibition, which has become an important platform for artists from across the region to showcase their work. Building on this success, we launched our Annual Open Drawing Competition in 2025, creating further opportunities for artists to share and develop their practice.

The Gallery is managed by Blackfield Creatives in partnership with The Ferry Project, an award-winning charity supporting people experiencing homelessness in Fenland. Through this collaboration, we deliver meaningful opportunities for individuals to engage with the arts, including skills development through workshops, involvement in maintaining the Gallery space, and the chance to build confidence and creative independence within a supportive environment.

We believe art should be for everyone. By bringing contemporary art to Wisbech and the wider Fens, we create opportunities for people to engage with culture locally, discover new artists, and develop their own creative skills in a welcoming and inclusive space.

We also welcome volunteers who would like to get involved in the Gallery. Whether supporting exhibitions, events or daily activity, volunteering offers a valuable way to gain experience, meet others and become part of our creative community. For more details about this, please complete our Contact Form and our Volunteering Coordinator will get in touch for a chat.

Whether you are visiting an exhibition, attending an artist talk, or taking part in a workshop, Wisbech Gallery offers a place to connect, learn and experience the benefits of art and creativity.
