Volunteering at Wisbech Gallery
Join our friendly team at Wisbech Gallery, a vibrant, free-to-visit exhibition space in the beautiful Grade II* listed Octavia View building on the South Brink. Managed by Blackfield Creatives, in partnership with the Ferry Project, we are passionate about bringing inspiring art to our community.
We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers (aged 18+) to help steward the Gallery and create a welcoming, relaxed environment for visitors. There are also opportunities to help our team refresh our Gallery space in between exhibitions, so that we create and maintain the best environment possible to showcase the artworks. No specialist art knowledge is required, just an interest in contemporary art and a warm, professional approach.
Why volunteer with us?
In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the Gallery, engage with visitors, and help ensure exhibitions are enjoyable for everyone. In return, you’ll gain valuable experience, meet a great mix of people, and become part of a supportive arts community. Flexible volunteering options are available (full or half days, Wednesday to Saturday during exhibitions) and full training is provided.
You can help us to develop a vibrant creative sector in this area.
