Rest In Paint at Wisbech Gallery is a retrospective of the some of the work from the past five years, some of which has never been seen in public, it is from the artist personal archives and collectors own private pieces.

The exhibition digs into how we’re built—layer by layer—out of every hit, scrape, and moment we’ve lived. The work hijacks the city’s concrete roar and the untamed sprawl of open land, crashing them together in loud, lawless colour and tagging the landscape with raw, unruly energy. Rest In Paint rips up the rulebook, refusing to kneel to gallery etiquette or anyone else’s idea of what art should behave like.

I strive to capture the essence of movement of the environment where I migrated to, the place I now call home. I am inspired by street art, its energy and colour, as well as its non-conformity to Fine Art principles. I try to capture both urbanism and landscape as a genre in my work. The paintings are established over many layers and the work is continually made, destroyed and recreated, leaving a remnant of each layer. The painting carries visual metaphors, words & motifs to develop a narrative of time and change of the individual. The composition is never fully realised until the end of the piece@blackfieldcreativesI strive to capture the essence of movement of the environment where I migrated to, the place I now call home.
