We are excited to welcome Ruby Bellamy, Kayleigh Brooks, and Lily Rolfe to the Gallery for their first major exhibition together, and the final show of the Wisbech Gallery 2026 Programme!

Flare features work from emerging artists Ruby Bellamy, Kayleigh Brooks, and Lily Rolfe. The exhibition will bring together painting, collage and textile work, to offer insight into how the artists observe and respond to the world around them.
This show is also a unique experience, being the trio’s first major exhibition since they have each left formal education.

Flare launches at Wisbech Gallery on Saturday 31st October 12pm-3pm. The exhibition will then be open every Wednesday to Saturday, 10am-4pm from Wednesday 4th November until Saturday 28th November.

Ruby Bellamy

Ruby Rose Bellamy is a visual artist based in Fenland; she graduated from Norwich University of the Arts in 2024. In 2026, Ruby received a Norfolk & Norwich Festival Young Creatives Bursary for the development of her ‘Cut From The Same Cloth’ Project.

Her creative practice focuses on celebrating handiwork, particularly quilt making and embroidery. Drawing inspiration from the home, her sense of self, and local landscapes, Ruby uses her work to record connections from nature to what she thinks and feels.

Kayleigh Brooks

Kayleigh Brooks is an emerging artist from Wisbech. Her work explores the instability of human contact and loneliness through large scale text works and figurative paintings.
Her current work draws on sex, substance abuse and human touch. Brooks explores how we romanticise what we cannot quite reach and how fleeting moments become fragmented memories. Her oil paintings show how human contact can be tender as well as compulsive, transactional, destructive or performative. This instability is how the work manifests itself into reconstructed encounters whether they are romanticised or distorted.

Lily Rolfe

Lily Rolfe is a portrait artist based in Norfolk who works primarily with oil paint and collage. Within her work, Lily’s main interest is how she can portray emotion in moments of stress or anxiety. Collage is used within her work to physically represent how events and emotions can layer up to result in an emotional outcome. When possible, Lily also uses this to include fabrics, clothing, and images that are relevant to the sitter.

Conversation with the Artist: Ruby Bellamy, Kayleigh Brooks and Lily Rolfe

Join us on Thursday 19th November 2026 for an evening conversation with emerging artists Ruby Bellamy, Kayleigh Brooks and Lily Rolfe. The trio will be discussing their creative careers so far, and what it is like working as an emerging artist in Fenland.

This event is idea for artists and enthusiasts to gain insight into working as a creative, and will be perfect for other young artists to come along, meet new people and build upon their networks.

Doors open at 6:30pm for refreshments, with a prompt start at 7pm. This event is free, with no booking required.

Introducing ‘Sketch ‘n’ Social’ a brand new event, welcoming creatives to the Gallery to work on their projects and meet new peers.

Every Saturday in November 2026, join Ruby, Kayleigh and Lily in the Gallery for a day of drawing and creating work in the Gallery. You are invited to join the artists in the Gallery with a project or your sketchbook, and create work with like-minded company.

These events have been designed as relaxed drop-in sessions, they are free, open to all and require no booking. ‘Sketch ‘n’ Social’ is an ideal way to build new connections, and work on your art in our beautiful Gallery space!

Sessions will run every Saturday in November 2026 (7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th), from 11am-3pm.
